Parliamentary Front for World Peace updates statutes in Brazil

The Parliamentary Front for World Peace (FFPAZ) has approved a statutory change that removes the requirement for the President of the Senate to serve as the group's honorary president. Led by Senator Paulo Paim, the group aims to ensure that participation remains voluntary and driven by the spontaneous engagement of members rather than automatic institutional mandates.

The Executive Commission will now consist of a president and two vice-presidents, currently held by Senators Paulo Paim, Flávio Arns, and Eduardo Girão. The front, which was established in May, seeks to strengthen the Brazilian National Congress's role in promoting global peace and dialogue. A special session in the Senate Plenary is scheduled for next Thursday to celebrate the front.
