Parliamentary immunity lifted for Diabagaté Moussa
The immunity of Member of Parliament Diabagaté Moussa has been lifted, allowing judicial authorities to proceed with investigations regarding the demolitions in Koumassi-Campement that occurred on June 3, 2026. The National Assembly's Bureau reviewed the prosecutor's request on Friday, October 2, following several hours of deliberation.
The investigation aims to establish the circumstances surrounding the demolition operation and determine the potential roles of the individuals involved. Investigators are also expected to clarify the legal basis and court decisions invoked during the operation. While the lifting of immunity allows the legal process to continue, Diabagaté Moussa remains presumed innocent.
