Parma administration criticized for scheduling conflicts

The political group Civiltà Parmigiana has criticized the Parma municipal administration for scheduling the ‘I Like Parma’ event to coincide with the San Leonardo neighborhood festival. This scheduling conflict is set to repeat in 2026, occurring simultaneously with the European Heritage Days.

Maria Federica Ubaldi, a municipal councilor for Civiltà Parmigiana, stated that the administration is repeating a previous planning error. She argued that the city-wide nature of ‘I Like Parma’ risks overshadowing the local neighborhood celebration, which requires support and visibility rather than competition for public attention.
