Parma prepares for pre-season friendly against Iraklis in Pinzolo

Parma Calcio 1913 held its summer training camp at the Pineta centre in Pinzolo, Italy, ahead of a pre‑season friendly with Greek side Iraklis 1908 on 2 August 2026. The match, scheduled for 17:00, was seen as a key test for both squads after earlier summer fixtures – Parma drew 1‑1 with Arezzo and held Sassuolo to a goalless draw in a triangular series, while Iraklis lost 2‑0 to Bologna and then drew 1‑1 with Palermo.

Parma’s new signing Ousmane Diallo suffered an injury during his first training session, and defender Elphege was also ruled out for the game. Forward Matija Frigan, speaking after a media day, said he had “cried a lot for the second injury” but is now focused on helping the team and scoring goals. Iraklis coach Walter Mazzarri, commenting after the match, noted that his side “were naive not to finish the chances” and praised the defensive work of both teams.

Probable line‑ups were released, with Parma expected to line up in a 4‑3‑3 under coach Carlos Cuesta and Iraklis likely to field a 3‑5‑2 under Mazzarri. The friendly was broadcast live on television and streaming platforms, providing fans a preview of the clubs’ preparations for the upcoming season.
