Parma CEO Federico Cherubini discusses transfer market moves

Federico Cherubini, CEO of Parma, has provided insights into the club’s recent transfer activities, specifically regarding Gabriel Strefezza and Mateo Pellegrino.

Regarding Strefezza, Cherubini stated that Parma had made a concrete offer after the player expressed openness to staying. However, the club ultimately decided to wait, noting that Palermo eventually secured the player. Cherubini emphasized the importance of maintaining locker room balance and following club guidelines.

On the sale of Mateo Pellegrino to Fiorentina, Cherubini noted that while there was interest from the Premier League and Bundesliga, the move to Fiorentina was accepted because it arrived under advantageous conditions. He also mentioned that the club declined a loan-with-option-to-buy proposal from Juventus to better protect Parma's interests. To replace Pellegrino, the club has acquired David Romero from Tigre.
