Parma close to signing Argentine striker David Romero

Italian Serie A club Parma is on the verge of completing the transfer of Tigre forward David Romero. The 23‑year‑old Argentine has scored 11 goals in 19 matches this season, attracting interest from several European teams. Negotiations between Parma and Tigre have advanced to a final stage, with the deal reportedly valued at around eight million dollars for a share of the player's economic rights and a five‑year contract.

Boca Juniors attempted to retain Romero by offering to purchase 70 % of his rights and proposing loan deals for players such as Jabes Saralegui and Camilo Rey Domenech, while Sevilla also submitted a formal offer. Neither bid succeeded, and Romero missed Tigre’s recent 3‑1 win over Racing as talks continued. If the agreement is signed in the coming days, Romero will move to Europe to play in Serie A.
