Parma construction site cited for safety violations

Carabinieri inspectors in Parma and its province carried out a coordinated workplace‑safety operation. The inspection of an active construction site uncovered serious breaches of Italy’s safety regulations, including the absence of proper parapets and inadequate fall‑protection measures. Additional violations involved unsafe internal traffic due to obstructive materials and improperly installed works.

The violations led to a formal complaint filed with the local public prosecutor against the company’s board of directors. A 30‑year‑old foreign national, who was already subject to an administrative expulsion order that had expired, was also indicted for breaching the expulsion deadline.

The case emphasizes the authorities’ focus on enforcing labor‑safety standards and immigration compliance in Italy.
