Parma player Pontus Almqvist sidelined by calf injury

Parma forward Pontus Almqvist will miss the upcoming Serie A match against Inter due to a calf injury. Medical examinations revealed a low-grade lesion in his left calf, prompting the club to begin an immediate rehabilitation process.

The injury comes at a critical time for Parma, as the match marks the debut of new manager Alberto Gilardino. Gilardino faces the difficult task of leading the team, currently in 15th place, against Inter at San Siro. While Inter welcomes the return of key players Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco, Parma must navigate their upcoming fixture without Almqvist.
