Parma politician questions legality of Alessandro Lucarelli's City Seal award

Priamo Bocchi, leader of the Fratelli d’Italia group in Parma, has filed an inquiry regarding the recent awarding of the ‘Sigillo della Città’ (City Seal) to former Parma captain Alessandro Lucarelli.

Bocchi questions the legality of the procedure, noting that municipal regulations require the City Seal to be deliberated by the Giunta with the unanimous consent of the Conference of Group Leaders. He claims the Conference of Group Leaders was neither convened nor informed prior to the award, and that no official deliberation from the Giunta has been published. Bocchi emphasized that the Seal is reserved for ‘entirely exceptional cases’ and must not be used as a discretionary award without following established institutional guarantees.
