Parma prepares for seventh edition of ‘Cena dei Mille’ dining event

The seventh edition of the ‘Cena dei Mille’ is scheduled for September 8 in the historic center of Parma, Italy. Organized in collaboration with the Parma City Council and the Fondazione Parma Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy, the event features a four-course menu designed to celebrate the region's culinary heritage.

Two-Michelin-starred chef Gennaro Esposito, owner of La Torre del Saracino, serves as the guest chef. The menu includes a tomato cream soup with prawns and basil oil provided by Parma Quality Restaurants, followed by Esposito’s signature mixed pasta soup with rockfish. The meal continues with a dish of white ox with vineyard peach and Fragno truffle, intended to honor local farming traditions.

The event, which will take place along a 400-meter table between Piazza Garibaldi and Strada della Repubblica, has seen high demand; tickets for the previous edition sold out in six minutes. Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to charity, including the Emporio Solidale in Parma.
