Parnika Reddy criticizes Telangana Assembly over untouchability debates

Congress MLA Chittem Parnika Reddy has criticized the Telangana Assembly for engaging in debates regarding “untouchability” and “shuddhikaran” (purification), arguing that these are issues of the past.

During the ongoing assembly session, Reddy stated that the House should move away from these historical topics and instead focus on addressing the contemporary challenges faced by various constituencies. She noted that a new generation has emerged with “newer ideas” and expressed concern that the recent three days of discussion have lacked productivity due to these disruptions.

Reddy also called for an end to unparliamentary remarks directed at the Speaker, suggesting that the opposition should offer an apology and prioritize discussions that contribute to a better future for the youth.
