Parobé authorities respond to storm damage and power outages

Municipal teams in Parobé, Brazil, have been mobilized to assist families following heavy rain and strong winds recorded during the early hours of Monday. Mayor Gilberto Gomes Júnior reported that the Civil Defense received approximately 20 calls in the initial hours of the morning.

Emergency response efforts include the distribution of tarpaulins for homes that suffered roof damage, with tiles to be distributed at a later stage. Residents requiring assistance are encouraged to contact the Civil Defense via WhatsApp to manage the high volume of occurrences.

While most municipal schools remain open, several institutions—including EMEFs Maltus, Romilda, and Padre Afonso, as well as EMEIs Branca de Neve and Ursinho Encantado—have temporarily suspended activities due to power outages. School attendance may be excused for students unable to reach campus due to the weather.
