Paros Health Center inaugurated after 45 years of operation

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis inaugurated the renovated Paros Health Center on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The facility, which had not undergone renovations in 45 years, underwent extensive upgrades funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

The 1,200 square meter project included energy efficiency improvements such as external thermal insulation, new energy-efficient frames, a photovoltaic unit, and a heating-cooling system using heat pumps and fan coils. Other technical upgrades involved new electrical installations, plumbing, sewage, fire protection, and ventilation systems.

Georgiadis described the project as one of the most difficult technical undertakings for health centers in the country, noting that it was completed within the scheduled timeframe despite significant challenges. Following the ceremony on Paros, the Minister visited the Multipurpose Regional Clinic in Antiparos. He also announced plans to hire additional medical staff to meet the growing healthcare needs of the island, particularly during the high-demand summer tourist season.
