Paros survivor Myrto's mother shares moving tribute

Mary Kotrotsou has shared a moving social media tribute to her daughter, Myrto, on the occasion of her name day. Myrto remains a well-known figure in Greece following a brutal assault on the island of Paros in 2012. During that incident, Myrto was raped and beaten by Ahmed Vakas, resulting in permanent disability and severe health complications.

In her message, Kotrotsou expressed her enduring love and the strength she draws from her daughter’s resilience and smile. She shared her hope for future advancements in medical science that might one day improve Myrto’s physical condition. Kotrotsou described their shared journey as a difficult climb, noting that while life presents many challenges, Myrto’s angelic spirit continues to spread love to those around her.
