Poland launches multi-billion PLN support for digital and green industrial transitions
The Polish government is implementing several financial support programs aimed at industrial modernization and energy stability. The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) has launched a loan fund worth approximately 792 million PLN under the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) program. This initiative provides preferential loans, including conditional grants of up to 15 percent, to support micro, small, medium, and large enterprises in digital transformation, automation, and green energy transitions.
Additionally, a new legislative project provides 4.8 billion PLN in support for energy-intensive industries between 2027 and 2030. This program allows for temporary increases in public aid intensity, covering up to 70 percent of qualified electricity costs, up from the previous 50 percent limit. This adjustment is made possible through the EU's Middle East Crisis Temporary State Aid Framework (METSAF). To fund these energy subsidies, the government proposes a temporary increase in the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) rate for selected large fuel and energy companies.
Business leaders, including representatives from Konfederacja Lewiatan, have emphasized that future digital transformation funding must go beyond simple hardware and software purchases, focusing instead on organizational processes, employee competencies, and maturity diagnostics.
