Parque Harriague reopens in Salto with dinosaur exhibition

The Parque Harriague in Salto, Uruguay, is reopening its former municipal zoo area to the public for the first time in eight years. The space will host ‘Dino Aventura’, an educational and entertainment experience running from August 28 to November 8.

The exhibition features 40 different species of animatronic dinosaurs capable of movement, designed to simulate a prehistoric environment. The tour covers the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods of the Mesozoic era. Organizers noted that several specimens are linked to paleontological findings within Uruguay, specifically highlighting discoveries from the northern part of the country and Tacuarembó.

Tickets are priced at $450 per person, with a discounted rate of $400 per person for family groups of four or more. Children under two years old enter for free. The event is being held in collaboration with the Intendencia de Salto.
