Parral cyclist killed in fatal hit-and-run accident

A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred on the Jiménez–Torreón highway in Parral, Chihuahua, during a nighttime cycling event. A trailer struck two cyclists and fled the scene, resulting in the death of 54-year-old Juan Daniel, a well-known local cyclist.

A 16-year-old male was also injured in the collision, sustaining a fracture to his right arm. Paramedics from the Red Cross provided initial assistance before transporting the teenager to the Regional Hospital for specialized care.

Emergency responders, including Civil Protection and the National Guard, secured the area to prevent further accidents. Authorities have launched an investigation to locate the driver and the vehicle involved.
