Parramatta receives multiple tourism and fitness awards

The City of Parramatta has secured two significant accolades at regional award ceremonies. The city’s New Year’s Eve celebration won the Gold Award for ‘Best Events Campaign – Councils’ at the Western Sydney Tourism Awards. The 2025 event, held in Parramatta Park, drew over 70,000 attendees and generated approximately $13.4 million in local spending.

Additionally, the Parramatta Aquatic Centre’s health club was named Health Club of the Year at the NSW Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) Awards. The facility was recognized for its inclusive fitness programming, which includes yoga, Reformer Pilates, and aqua fitness, aimed at supporting community wellbeing and accessibility for diverse populations.
