Parramatta residents invited to shape future community infrastructure plan
The City of Parramatta has released its Draft Community Infrastructure Strategy 2026 for public exhibition, inviting residents to provide feedback on the long-term planning of local community spaces.
The strategy outlines priorities for developing and upgrading various facilities, including libraries, parks, aquatic centres, community hubs, and recreation spaces. It aims to address current and future demand for infrastructure as the local government area experiences significant population growth.
Lord Mayor Martin Zaiter stated that these facilities are essential for connecting people and supporting healthy communities. The draft plan was developed following extensive community consultation and includes detailed analyses of open space and recreation needs. Residents can submit their feedback through the Parramatta Participate platform until 5pm on Tuesday, October 20.
