Parsons secures NNSA task orders for counter-nuclear smuggling

Parsons Corporation has been awarded two new task orders under the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Counter Nuclear Smuggling Systems Deployment (CNSSD) contract. These orders focus on the design and deployment of systems to detect and deter illicit nuclear and radiological trafficking.

The task orders cover the Middle East 3 and Africa 2 regions, spanning a total of 25 countries. The work includes a base period through July 2027, with four option periods that could extend the project through July 2031.

With these latest awards, Parsons’ total CNSSD portfolio has grown to seven task orders, representing approximately $90 million in total awarded value. The company was originally selected for one of two positions on the $1 billion ceiling-value CNSSD contract in March 2024.
