President Prabowo orders BUMN restructuring and B50 biodiesel progress review
During a limited meeting in Hambalang, President Prabowo Subianto ordered the restructuring of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to improve operational efficiency. The mandate specifically directs companies such as PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT PLN (Persero) to reduce their organizational layers and streamline their various subsidiaries (anak and cucu perusahaan). Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that this reduction is aimed at accelerating decision-making, increasing productivity, and maintaining long-term efficiency across the state sector.

Simon Aloysius Mantiri, President Director of Pertamina, reported on the progress of the B50 Biodiesel Mandate, a policy launched in July 2026 that requires a 50% plant-based fuel mixture.
