Parth Jindal appointed Chairman of JSW MG Motor India

Parth Jindal has been appointed Chairman of JSW MG Motor India, effective August 31, 2026. A member of the company’s board since the formation of the joint venture between JSW Group and SAIC Motor, Jindal will oversee the automaker’s expansion into new-energy mobility and increased localization within the Indian market.

Under his leadership, the company aims to have new-energy vehicles contribute between 70% and 80% of its total sales. JSW MG Motor India plans to introduce four new models by FY27 and intends to scale its manufacturing capacity at the Halol facility in Gujarat, targeting 1.6 lakh units annually by March 2027 and 2.2 lakh units by January 2028.

Jindal holds several other leadership roles within the JSW Group, including Managing Director of JSW Cement and JSW Paints, and Chairman of JSW Dulux Limited. The appointment comes as the company seeks to leverage SAIC’s automotive technology alongside JSW’s domestic industrial capabilities to grow its presence in the electric vehicle sector.
