Parti Bersatu Sabah announces youth movement and reaffirms GRS alliance

During its 41st Annual Delegates Conference, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) announced several strategic developments aimed at organizational renewal and the defense of regional interests.

Secretary-General Datuk Julita Majungki confirmed that all PBS divisions are now permitted to establish the Youth and Young Women Movement (GBB) following approval from the Registry of Societies for constitutional amendments. The GBB is designed as a structured platform for individuals aged 18 to 25 to engage in political activities, gain leadership experience, and understand the party’s core principles at the grassroots level.

Separately, PBS President Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Joachim Gunsalam reaffirmed the party’s commitment to remaining a loyal and constructive partner within the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition. He emphasized that while PBS supports state government stability, it will continue to independently advocate for Sabah’s rights, specifically regarding the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), rural development, and the state’s claim to 40 percent of state revenue.
