Parti Québécois MNAs outline regional priorities in Quebec

Following recent elections, Parti Québécois representatives Marie-Karlynn Laflamme and Odette Lavigne have outlined their legislative priorities for their respective districts in Quebec.

Marie-Karlynn Laflamme, re-elected as the MNA for Chicoutimi with nearly 40% of the vote, intends to focus on supporting families, seniors, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Her agenda also includes addressing homelessness, promoting business succession, and advocating for the decentralization of power to regional areas.

Odette Lavigne, the new MNA for René-Lévesque, has identified the Saguenay bridge project, the forestry industry, and homelessness as her primary concerns. Lavigne emphasized the need for rapid action within the forestry sector and noted that the government will conduct an analysis to review the costs and planning of the bridge project. She also highlighted the urgency of addressing homelessness in the Haute-Côte-Nord and Manicouagan regions as winter approaches.
