Parti socialiste: Dundal PS initiators escalate criticism of leadership

The initiators of the ‘Dundal PS – Faire revivre le PS’ manifesto have intensified their criticism of the Socialist Party (PS) leadership in Senegal. In a statement released on August 18, 2026, the group denounced a lack of progress following mediation attempts intended to foster party unity and cohesion.

Despite a meeting between a movement delegation and the Secretary General, the initiators claim that commitments made during the dialogue have seen ‘no commencement of execution.’ They cited several recent developments as evidence of ongoing issues, including the formation of the Network of Socialist Women of Senegal in Dakar, alleging that activists aligned with the Dundal PS manifesto were excluded from the initiative.
