Particle launches Radar AI podcast search engine

Particle, a startup founded by former Twitter engineers, has launched Radar, an AI-powered search engine designed to index and analyze podcast audio. The tool transcribes more than 130,000 podcasts, including the top 200 most popular shows on Apple, to make spoken conversations discoverable and usable for AI agents.

Unlike traditional transcription tools, Radar uses artificial intelligence to understand context, allowing users to extract key quotes, specific data, and identify entities such as companies and brands. This capability addresses a gap in the current AI landscape, where most agents primarily process text and remain ‘blind’ to audio content.

The platform has already seen significant interest from the financial sector, with hedge funds serving as high-volume customers using the API to gain market intelligence. Other users include journalists, researchers, and AI search platforms like Exa. Radar also features an advertising search engine to track sponsorship trends and sponsorship bias.
