Partido del Trabajo appoints new municipal and district affiliation coordinators in Ezequiel Montes, Querétaro

Agustina “GuTy” Montes was appointed as the municipal affiliation coordinator for the Partido del Trabajo (PT) in the municipality of Ezequiel Montes, Querétaro. The ceremony was led by state PT leader Valeria Flores and attended by Senator Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz and state affiliation coordinator Santiago Nieto, who highlighted the party’s ongoing territorial expansion.

In a related appointment, former municipal security secretary Oswaldo Gómez Martínez was named district affiliation coordinator for PT’s District 14, covering Ezequiel Montes, Colón, Tolimán and Peñamiller. Gómez left his security post to focus on party work, citing the need for salary parity between municipal and state police and urging legislation for equal pay. He also outlined regional priorities such as job creation, university establishment, hospital improvements and stronger, better‑equipped security forces. Both appointments aim to strengthen PT’s structure ahead of the 2027 state elections, with Gómez expressing support for Santiago Nieto’s prospective gubernatorial candidacy.
