Partido del Trabajo weighs alliance status with Morena

The Partido del Trabajo (PT) is navigating internal tensions regarding its alliance with Morena and the Partido Verde. While the alliance appears to have avoided an immediate split following meetings with Morena leadership, the PT is awaiting its National Council meeting to decide whether to run independently or within the coalition in upcoming elections.

The party has already decided to run its own candidate for governor in Zacatecas and is seeking to designate coordinators in Baja California Sur. In Baja California Sur, the PT in Los Cabos has reaffirmed its support for Christian Agúndez Gómez following Morena's internal process definitions.

Despite these regional shifts, the PT maintains that the alliance remains intact for the dispute over the 500 federal deputies. The party is demanding that its current number of legislators and municipal presidencies be maintained in future electoral processes.
