Partido Popular criticizes government response to Ceuta crisis

The Partido Popular (PP) has criticized the Spanish government for its perceived lack of cooperation and action regarding the ongoing crisis in Ceuta. Juan Bravo, the PP's deputy secretary for Finance, Housing, and Infrastructure, expressed dissatisfaction with the central government's failure to coordinate with the opposition, claiming that the president of the autonomous city, Juan Jesús Vivas, has been left to manage the situation alone.

Bravo highlighted the economic concerns of families and businesses in Ceuta and Melilla. He also questioned the government's handling of illegal immigration from Morocco, noting a lack of deportations despite previous announcements from EU and Moroccan officials. As an alternative, the PP proposed an economic reactivation plan for Ceuta involving an investment of 650 million euros over the next six years.
