Partille: Two dead in head-on collision on E20

Two people have died following a head-on collision on the E20 motorway in Partille, east of Gothenburg. The accident occurred on Saturday evening shortly after 21:00.

Police report that the crash was caused by a vehicle driving in the wrong direction. The errant vehicle reportedly traveled from central Gothenburg toward Partille before the collision. Two other individuals were seriously injured in the incident and transported to the hospital; however, both succumbed to their injuries by Sunday morning.

Authorities stated that neither of the deceased drivers were Swedish citizens, which has delayed the process of notifying next of kin. The Swedish Police have launched a preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic.
