Partinico cocaine bust nets half‑kilogram and €70,000 cash seizure

The Guardia di Finanza conducted a drug‑trafficking operation in Partinico, Sicily, after spotting a suspicious exchange near the town’s weekly market. Officers stopped the vehicle, used a detection dog to locate cocaine, and arrested the suspect on the spot.

The raid uncovered about half a kilogram of cocaine, a precision balance and several pre‑packaged doses. Investigators also found €70,000 in cash hidden in the wall cavity of the suspect’s residence. The man was charged with drug trafficking, illegal possession of narcotics and money‑laundering, and was placed under house arrest pending further judicial proceedings.
