Footballers in Bosnia and Herzegovina demand better pay and contract terms

Footballers playing in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the First League of Republika Srpska are calling for improved working conditions and reliable payments. The Union of Professional Footballers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has highlighted that many players operate under amateur contracts, which allows clubs to delay or fail to fulfill promised salaries.

Players report that while some clubs maintain responsible practices, others negotiate annual payments of eight to ten salaries only to fail to meet those commitments. This financial instability affects many athletes who rely on football as their primary source of income to support their families.
