Partizan Belgrade player Demba Sek returns to training
Partizan Belgrade forward Demba Sek has returned to first-team training after apologizing to his teammates for a recent training ground incident. The Senegalese attacker had been sidelined and training separately following a physical altercation with teammate Nikola Čumić.
Coach Saša Ilić had previously suspended Sek from competitive activities, making an apology a prerequisite for his return. While Sek is expected to be available for the upcoming Superliga match against Čukarički, both he and Čumić are expected to face financial penalties for the breach of discipline.
Separately, the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) released an analysis regarding refereeing decisions during Partizan's recent match against Železničar in Pančevo. The FSS Referee Commission upheld the referee's decision to issue a red card to Mario Jurčević via VAR, ruling it was a correct call for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. The commission also dismissed Partizan's claims for a penalty, stating that a handball incident in the box was not punishable as the player's arm was in a natural position during a fall.
