Partizan coach Saša Ilić remains silent on future after Conference League exit

Partizan Belgrade coach Saša Ilić remained evasive regarding his future with the club following the team's elimination from the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. Despite a 2-1 victory over Spanish side Getafe in Belgrade, the result was insufficient to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg in Madrid.

Ilić declined to address whether he or the club management would resign, a possibility previously suggested if the team failed to reach the league phase. Instead, he focused on the team's performance, stating, “This is the Partizan I want to coach and the Partizan I want to watch.” He praised the players for giving their maximum and thanked the fans for their immense support.

Ilić noted that while Partizan is a major institution, the club has struggled to secure titles or trophies in recent years. He expressed belief in the ongoing process of building a young squad and emphasized that the team's recent performance showed significant progress.
