Party of the European Left condemns Ceuta migration tragedy

The Party of the European Left (PIE) has issued a manifesto condemning the humanitarian tragedy in Ceuta, where a massive influx of migrants has reportedly resulted in over 100 deaths. The political group describes the event not as an accident, but as a "criminal maneuver orchestrated by the Alawite monarchy" that uses human lives as "geopolitical bargaining chips."

The PIE criticizes the response from international authorities, labeling the situation a political blackmail tactic. The manifesto claims the mass arrival of over 70,000 people in 24 hours overwhelmed local services, leaving thousands without basic necessities like food and water.

Furthermore, the party calls on the European Union to end the "externalization of borders" and adopt migration policies rooted in social justice and solidarity, rather than subordinating itself to regimes that profit from human suffering.
