Parul University hosts Verbal Duel 2026 debate competition

Parul University, through its Center for Development and Communication, organized the state-level inter-university debate competition, Verbal Duel 2026, in Vadodara, Gujarat. Held in collaboration with the Times of India Group, the event featured 46 teams from various academic institutions across the state.

The competition included industry experts on the judging panel, such as Rahul Shankar, Senior Vice President at Bennett Coleman & Co., and Animesh Bhatt, a former Times of India professional with experience at the Tata Group. These professionals provided students with insights into professional communication, argument structuring, and public speaking.

Debate topics covered contemporary issues, including artificial intelligence and human thought processes, skill-based learning, the impact of social media on mental health, digital and physical infrastructure, electric mobility, and regenerative agriculture.
