Parvinder Awana appointed BCCI junior men’s selection committee chairman
Former Indian pacer Parvinder Awana has been appointed as the chairman of the BCCI junior men’s selection committee. The appointments were made following recommendations from the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which conducted interviews and screenings of applicants.
Joining Awana on the panel are members Krishna Das, Rakesh Patel, and N Arjun Yadav. A fifth member of the committee is expected to be announced shortly, according to a media advisory from BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
Awana, who represented India in two T20Is and played for Delhi and Punjab Kings in the IPL, will relinquish his current position as the Delhi senior men’s bowling coach to take on this new role. The committee members bring extensive domestic and coaching experience, including previous roles with India U-19 and various state teams.
