Parx Racing to host $1 million Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes

Parx Racing is set to host a major day of horse racing on Saturday, September 19, 2026, featuring eight stakes races. The event is headlined by two $1 million Grade 1 races: the betPARX Pennsylvania Derby and the Cotillion Stakes.

The Pennsylvania Derby features a field of 11 three-year-old males, including nine stakes winners. Further is the 2-1 morning line favorite. Other notable competitors include Zihnal, trained by Jonathan Thomas, and Iron Honor, trained by Chad Brown.

Additional highlights include the $400,000 Grade 2 Gallant Bob Stakes and the $150,000 Stable Recovery Stakes. Pennsylvania-bred horse Bartlett, trained by John Servis, is seeking a third consecutive win in the Stable Recovery Stakes. The racing card also includes entries from local trainers such as Butch Reid and Uriah St. Lewis.
