PAS Election Director Sanusi vows to stop surrendering winnable seats

During the 72nd PAS Annual Muktamar in Kelantan, PAS Election Director Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor announced that the party will no longer surrender winnable seats to other political entities. He criticized the practice of PAS members performing groundwork for other parties only to have those parties field their own candidates, describing the situation as a failure to translate party strength into political control.

Sanusi also addressed internal tensions within the Perlis state leadership. He urged party members in Perlis to cease ongoing conflicts and disputes. This follows calls from PAS Youth in Perlis for the party leadership to take action against Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah, amid allegations that PAS representatives are being treated like opposition members despite being part of the Perikatan Nasional administration. Abu Bakar has maintained that the state administration operates on a spirit of solidarity and makes decisions collectively through the State Executive Council.
