PAS Perlis internal crisis nearing full resolution

The internal crisis within the Perlis branch of the PAS political party is nearing a full resolution. Since February, the administration of PAS Perlis has been under the supervision of a Temporary Administrative Committee (JTS) chaired by Vice President Datuk Idris Ahmad.

PAS Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man stated that most of the previous issues have been resolved harmoniously. He noted that the party's strength lies in the principle of ‘walak’ (loyalty) to the decisions of the top leadership, which has helped facilitate unity. The party is now shifting its focus toward preparations for the 16th General Election (PRU16).

Regarding potential cooperation between PAS and UMNO in Perlis, Tuan Ibrahim clarified that any such negotiations would be managed by a central steering committee rather than at the state level. While the central committee will consult with the state, final decisions rest with the party's central leadership.
