Pasadena to host CicLAvia with temporary Slow Streets routes

Pasadena will host a CicLAvia event on Sunday, November 15, featuring two temporary “Slow Streets” routes designed to connect local neighborhoods to the main event. These one-mile segments will allow cyclists and other wheeled devices to travel via Walnut Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.

The primary 2.7-mile CicLAvia route will span Colorado Boulevard and Raymond Avenue, linking Old Pasadena, Playhouse Village, and South Lake Avenue with Metro’s Memorial Park and Del Mar stations. While the main route will be closed to cars from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, vehicles will be permitted to cross at six designated intersections.

Activity hubs located at Memorial Park and Colorado Boulevard and Allen Avenue will provide amenities including restrooms, water-refilling stations, basic bike repair, and first aid. Free pedicab rides will also be available at the information booths. The event is scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
