Pasapalabra format expands to US with ‘Run the ring’

The Spanish television game show format Pasapalabra is expanding to the United States and Latin America with a new version titled ‘Run the ring’. Pilot episodes were recently recorded in Los Angeles, led by presenter Christian Gálvez.

Developed independently of Mediaset and Atresmedia, the project is being produced at Lulu Studios by MC&F, the rights holder, and Italian producer Andrea Olcese. The American adaptation features structural changes to suit English-speaking audiences, including a 26-letter alphabet that replaces the Spanish ‘ñ’ with ‘k’ and ‘w’.

Key gameplay adjustments include the introduction of ‘ends with’ clues, shorter definitions, and phonetic adaptations designed to increase the pace and tension of the show.
