Pascal Groß announces international retirement amid strong Brighton form

Pascal Groß has enjoyed a highly productive start to the Premier League season with Brighton & Hove Albion. In his first five matches, the German midfielder has recorded three goals and three to four assists, including a standout performance in a 3-0 victory over Arsenal where he scored a long-range goal.

Despite his strong club form, Groß has announced his retirement from the German national team. Having earned 19 caps since his debut in September 2023, he stated that his international career concluded with the World Cup. He expressed support for the next generation of German players as the national team undergoes a generational transition.
