AI and autonomous technology advancements from Apodex, SANY, and X Square Robot

Several companies have announced advancements in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. Apodex has launched TRACES, a new benchmark designed to evaluate AI's ability to perform scientific discovery. Unlike traditional benchmarks that rely on static datasets and known answers, TRACES uses executable environments to test if AI can navigate real-world problems, adapt to feedback, and produce verifiable results in scenarios where the outcome is not yet established.

In the industrial sector, SANY Group has shipped its first batch of SKT110Ei pure-electric autonomous mining trucks to South America. This deployment includes an integrated solution of autonomous trucks, intelligent dispatching, and maintenance services aimed at improving safety and reducing labor costs in the mining industry.

At the World Robot Conference 2026 in Beijing, X Square Robot demonstrated its embodied AI capabilities. The company showcased robots capable of handling complex logistics tasks, such as sorting various types of parcels with high accuracy, as well as robots designed for domestic use, including home-cleaning services and interactive family environments.
