Pascal Soetens survives assault attempt and discloses €441 monthly income

French television personality Pascal Soetens, known as "Pascal le Grand Frère," was attacked during a public signing event in Rethel, Ardennes, on 27 July 2026. A young man tried to strangle him; police intervened and Soetens pushed the assailant away, later filing a complaint for violence against a minor.

In a separate interview, Soetens revealed that his post‑TV earnings have fallen to €441 per month after his contract with TF1 ended, compared with €15,000 per year during his first season. He is 56, lives with a partner 20 years his junior, and continues to make appearances at fan events despite the financial and personal challenges he described.
