Pascal Wehrlein wins second Formula E world title in London

Pascal Wehrlein has secured his second Formula E world championship title following a dramatic season finale in London. The Porsche driver established a significant lead after winning Saturday’s race from pole position, which allowed him to withstand intense pressure during Sunday’s race.

Sunday's race was marked by high tension and strategic maneuvering between major teams. Jaguar driver Antonio Felix da Costa utilized aggressive defensive tactics and early Attack Mode activation to hold off Wehrlein, a move that sparked controversy. Da Costa defended his driving style, suggesting that Porsche’s complaints were hypocritical given their own defensive strategies used earlier in the weekend.

In the race itself, 22-year-old Taylor Barnard of DS Penske made history by becoming the youngest driver to win a Formula E race. The final round also saw a significant collision involving Jake Dennis, Sébastien Buemi, and others, which impacted the final standings of the championship contenders.
