Pasir Gudang pet shop owner to report man for hamster theft

A man in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is facing potential police action after stealing a hamster from HyperPets Centre. CCTV footage captured the man, accompanied by his wife and two children, taking the animal and placing it in his bag.

Following the viral spread of the footage, the man contacted the shop owner via WhatsApp, claiming he had previously attempted to purchase the hamster but felt ignored by staff. While he agreed to return the pet, the shop owner, Muhammad Nur Aiman, reported that the man’s behavior during the return was rude. Instead of speaking with staff to resolve the matter, the man allegedly entered the premises, placed the hamster back in its cage, and left without offering a face-to-face apology.

The shop owner stated that a police report will be filed regarding the incident.
