Paso de los Libres to host wood construction training
The Ministry of Industry, Labor, and Commerce is organizing a training session in Paso de los Libres to promote the use of local wood in the construction sector. The event, scheduled for September 25, 2026, aims to boost the forest-industrial potential of the Corrientes province.
Architect Erick Kennedy will lead the session, focusing on the ‘Woodframe’ system, a dry construction method based on wooden structures. The presentation will cover the characteristics, advantages, and applications of Corrientes' planted wood, while addressing common myths regarding its use.
Organized by the Corrientes Subsecretariat of Industry and the local municipality, the workshop is open to architects, carpenters, engineers, students, and industry stakeholders interested in ecological construction practices. Subsecretary of Industry Antonio Barros Perkins noted that this session serves as an initial step toward more in-depth practical classes.
