PASOK denies cooperation with SYRIZA

Kostas Tsoukalas, spokesperson for PASOK-Movement for Change, has denied reports of potential cooperation with the SYRIZA party. In an interview, Tsoukalas stated that no discussions regarding a partnership have taken place at any level and emphasized that the party is pursuing an autonomous electoral path.

Tsoukalas identified New Democracy as the primary political opponent of PASOK, rather than SYRIZA. He called for votes to achieve political change and expressed a desire to move the country forward, positioning PASOK as the representative of the democratic and progressive world against what he described as the current government's direction.

Political analyst Andreas Drymiotis also commented on the party's prospects, suggesting that PASOK could potentially overtake SYRIZA in public consciousness if it avoids focusing on the left-wing political sphere. He noted that any collaboration with SYRIZA would be political suicide for PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis due to SYRIZA's current weakened position.
