PASOK expects joining of MPs Apostolakis and Avlonitis

Independent Members of Parliament Evangelos Apostolakis and Alexandros Avlonitis are expected to officially join the PASOK party's Central Committee in the coming days. Their presence alongside PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis at a recent speech at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition (DEX) signals a move toward formal integration.

Following a pattern previously established by other members, the two MPs are anticipated to attend a formal meeting with Androulakis to finalize their membership. For Apostolakis, the former Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, potential electoral constituencies include Chania or Piraeus A. For Avlonitis, Corfu remains the most likely electoral field.

Party leadership views these transfers as symbolic of PASOK’s role as a central pillar within the progressive political space.
